White Mice - Hortical

White Mice....born in 1970, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Allan Crichton aka White Mice is a graduate of three sound systems -- Sugar Minott's Youthman Promotion, Jammy's Hi Power, and his hometown Ticka Muzik. His first break came at Sun Splash in 1985, when he and Little Kirk were called on stage to perform with Tenor Saw. Recording at King Jammy's and Channel One studios, with Junior Delgado at the controls, over next the few years Mice let off a series of records amongst the very deadliest of digital reggae -- nearly all on his brother Blemo's Intelitec imprint, out of Miami.

One of the earliest JR Production albums. The year is a bit vague but i think around the early 1990's. Anybody know?

When he stepped out from behind the mixing desk and picked up a microphone, reggae producer Carl Dwyer became Captain Sinbad, a swashbuckling DJ with scant output. Sinbad first appeared on-stage with the Sound of Silence sound system featuring Sugar Minott. A few late-'70s albums for Henry "Junjo" Lawes were released before his 1980 single with a young Little John, "51 Storm," became a Jamaican dancehall favorite. The year 1982 saw the release of the full-length The Seven Voyages of Captain Sinbad on Greensleeves, while 1983 found him on Dillinger's Oak label for the "Hotter Reggae Music" single and the CSA label for half of the Sinbad & the Metric System album (the other half belonged to Peter Metro). The Oak compilation "Again" arrived a year later and then Captain Sinbad disappeared, with Dwyer shifting his focus to production.

Chaka Demus - Everybody Loves The Chaka

The DJ was born John Taylor, in West Kingston, Jamaica, in 1965. Like virtually all of the island's talkative talents, he began his career as a teenager in the sound system scene, working for the Jammy's and Supreme systems. Initially he toasted under the name Nicodemus Jr., his tribute to the great '80s DJ Nicodemus. But by the time the DJ began recording in the mid-'80s, he had taken the more original moniker Chaka Demus. Demus cut his first singles for Jammy's, debuting with "Increase Your Knowledge in 1985. None of his early efforts were major hits, but all boded well for the future. His potential was quickly recognized by his bigger brethren, including Yellowman, who joined him for this album "Everybody Loves Chaka" on "Letter To Mummy & Daddy".

From Ninja B's Collention. Odd coverart but very nice album from Simpleton, produced by Colin (Fatta) Walters in 1992.

Simpleton (born Christopher Harrison, Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica, 1971) was a Jamaican DJ whose claim to fame was the 1992 hit single,"Coca Cola Bottle Shape." Earlier records of this artist bring his name as Dracula and not Simpleton on the label "How you fi say dat".Simpleton released three reggae albums in the mid-1990s. After being virtually idle from the Jamaican music scene, Simpleton died from a heart attack on November 7, 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica.
